Pastors today purposefully declare that wearing a makeup is not a problem, not knowing that they are promoting lies. This is a misrepresentation of who God is and a compromise of His standards. There are a number of verses that forbid the act of telling lies and that of being deceptive in our deeds.
Allow me to outline how wearing a makeup and other artificial ornaments is a lie. I shall reference Revelation 21:27 from the Kings James Version. Nothing is far from the truth. A lie is a lie, no matter how small or insignificant to the person who makes it or is heard by the listeners. Truth be told, God will reject liars (idolaters) by all means because such a person has stained his or her holiness garment.
Revelation 21:27 – And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Wearing a makeup is deception/lie
A pastor preaching on 31st March 2024 told of his personal experience of how wearing a makeup got a few of them asking each other about the whereabouts of the bride a day after the wedding. In most parts of Africa, the bride family give gifts to the groom’s family the following day after the wedding. This the day when two questions got the deceived from the deceptive looks from a facial makeup look;
- Where is the bride and;
- Who is this that has assumed the bride roles?
It was not until one reliable source confirmed that the same person taking the role of a bride in the occasion is the true bride from yesterday’s wedding. By all means, if the bride were to learn about this confusion she had made, she would have to apologize.
I have written an article stating 4 other reasons why a makeup is abominable to God in the article ‘The holiness believer who ignores body purity’.
The target is Heaven
Any believer who claims to be a Christian without the sole purpose of making it to Heaven is wasting his or her time. Therefore, if the condition for making Heaven is compromised, after having been cautioned, there is no way that particular Christian will make it.
Conclusion
Judgement is ahead and the Bible will be used to judge the dead and the living. This is not about me but about what the Bible says. One reader said that I need scriptures to support my claim and other preachers point out that two witnesses are required to validate a claim, I want to warn you that unless you have a verse that supports your position, you are in danger of being rejected at a time when you cannot do anything to change that position.
If by any means you feel you can defend yourself in a round table with God on this matter and win, so be it that you do as you feel.
Be blessed.
