Faith has power to unlock the desired future, but don’t pay for it!

Faith...Faith is biblical and therefore does not change with times. It is a freely God given virtue that is open for use by any living person. Receive it from God at no cost.

Before I define what faith is, I want to start by confirming that faith is real and it works exactly as the bible says. Those that practice faith are pleasing to God (Hebrews 11:6) and they reap the benefits of practicing it. I personally have found faith to be working for me and to my experience; it requires one to make an effort. That is why the Bible says that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). The Bible gives us examples of people that combined faith with their effort to realise what they hoped for. Hebrews 11:17 – 31 give details on what Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, the children of Israel and Rahab did by faith to achieve their intended goals.

What is faith?

The Bible has a direct answer to what faith is. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, things that have not been manifested in real life but only imagined and desired by the believer (Hebrews 11:1). It is important to note that true faith comes in no other way but through Christ (Galatians 3:22; 2:20). Therefore, faith without Christ becomes powerless and irrelevant.

Faith is in general the persuasion of the mind that a certain statement is true (Phillipians 1:27 Thessalonians 2:13). Its primary idea is trust, and therefore worthy of trust. The object of faith is the whole revealed Word of God. faith is necessary to our salvation (Mark 16:16). – Easton’s Bible Dictionary

Don’t pay for faith

Faith is God given and free. Would you pay God enough for the benefits you get from practicing your faith? Don’t focus on the messenger but the sender, who is God Himself. Know this that a person has no power to bless or curse you but God can. If God has blessed you, no one can curse you and the reverse is true.

I’m not saying that you should not pay your tithes and offerings but don’t pay someone who says you will only receive if you plant a specific seed of a specific amount of money. That is a total rip off and you owe it to yourself when that particular promised reward does not manifest.

Take today popular success teachings with caution. The Bible never lies but people lie and twist the it to suite their intended purpose of brain washing others for selfish gains. I cannot sign this article off without mentioning that the popular teachers of the so called ‘success Gospel’, the likes of T.D. Jakes, Creflo Dollar and others are telling the real Biblical truth about success. However, you need to take time to read and understand the Scriptures. Pray to God for clarity don’t take them at their word. Don’t worship them or their too good words.

This is a kind reminder to turn your eyes from the pastor, whom you love and feel like you can’t afford to lose, to God the creator. Cursed is a man who trusts in another man (Jeremiah 17:5).
