Know that Miracles May Not Always be coming from God – Exodus 7: 11 and 22

Miracles come from God and Him alone

Praying for God's Miracles

The world has to know that not all miracles come from God the almighty but some come from the devil through magicians, witches, sorcerers and other works of false religions. That miracles even come from elsewhere should not make you doubt your God or even harden your heart, thinking that He is not mightier than what is ordinary like Pharaoh of old did.

In the eyes of the world, the miracles may look like those that should be experienced by God’s children who only rely on Him for daily living but they could be coming from the devil. This may be a common subject to you but you may not have noticed this manifesting in early times of the Holy Bible. The direct and mostly used scripture for this subject are Words from the second book of Corinthians chapter 11 verse 14, ‘And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.’ NIV.

Probably we need to highlight the meaning of a miracle. Wikipedia defines a miracle as any event that is statistically unlikely but beneficial, (such as surviving a natural disaster), or simply a “wonderful” occurrence, regardless of likelihood, such as a birth. Other miracles might be: survival of a terminal illness, escaping a life threatening situation or ‘beating the odds’. This implies that getting a job is a miracle and people may think it’s not from God but their academic qualifications have made them deserve the jobs.

In the book of Exodus 7, the Holy Bible records that when Moses instructed Aaron to do what the Lord God had commanded him, miracles manifested. The first was the turning of a rod into a snake (vs 10) and the second being turning water into blood (vs 20). Both miracles were mimicked by the magicians, which according to the scripture, hardened Pharaoh’s heart (vs 13 and vs 22b). Many people today behave just lake Pharaoh, they do not want to turn to God for solutions because they find similar solutions elsewhere other than from God.

Did you know that all that is good comes from God and Him alone? All good and perfect gifts from God. According to John Mulinde (How Satan Stops Prayers – Combat in the heavenly realm), the gifts that are targeted for God’s beloved can be stolen by Satan and given to others through various ungodly practices.

It is therefore important for you to discern miracles. The easy ways include the following:

  1. Pray diligently at the scene and see if there will be any conflict or friction that arises from your prayer.
  2. If the miracle inflicts fear in your heart, it most probably does not come from God. God does not impart fear in all His ways.
  3. If the miracle is not covered in the Holy Bible, some innovative miracle, shun away from it.
  4. If the environment is not conducive for God’s works, keep away.

Therefore, a miracle is not proof that God has manifested Himself. Do your assignment so that you do not find yourself involved in devil’s practices, which God is against and shall punish now and after life.
