The entire Bible God-breathed to teach, rebuke, correct and train in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). If you have taken time to read the Bible, you will know that God some commandments that are very demanding to the average human yet they should be observed by all means. Among many things, God can kill, curse, strike with sickness and destroy. This is the same God that saves, loves, heals, blesses and redeems people.
It is not surprising that some skeptics openly reject the God of Christians for that He can punish His own people very harshly. They have searched the scriptures to discover that some of the things God did are very much unlike Him according to what they have been taught about Him. There are websites that are totally dedicated to tarnishing God of Christians because of some specific Bible verses. God’s nature is the same in both the Old and New Covenant. However, the good thing about this belief is that at least such people believe that God implemented what He promised for any condition He had set.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached all over yet there are so many doctrines that are contradicting each other. Often this is not intentional but results from misinterpreting what the Bible teaches. It is common to hear Christians discussing one topic but coming out with different ways of practicing it. The easier route out is often largely adopted and it normally is the one that prevails. The harder route is abandoned yet Jesus Christ Himself clearly stated that the gate that leads to life is very narrow. The sad this is that He went on to say that ‘many will try to find it but very few find it’.
Every believer should be clear on what the Bible teaches. It calls for critical Bible study, research and praying. Each verse of the Bible has been inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16). This means that for every Bible verses is God owned. Thus He won’t let any return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). I know that this may give some readers the impression that I am brain washed to believe in the Bible in this fashion. I have written a full article on why we believe that the Bible is God’s word. The Bible has long been declared to be the infallible word of God by those that have gone before us and we have adopted that as a true declaration. I have been sensitized to write this post after having watched a video on YouTube where someone is giving his reasons why he quit Christianity. Many people that responded to his video agree to his views that the Bible is not the word of God. I felt compelled to respond and I do want to share my position on this matter again in this post.
Never should pastors take a position of altering that which God says in the Bible, even the slightest of such alterations. The temptation is often to adjust biblical context to our contemporary world. This is very wrong as the Bible says it clearly that God’s Word never changes. I have written an article to address the subject of the none changing Word of God in this blog ‘The Word of God that never changes – Psalms 119:89, Matthew 24:35’
So many things have been altered in today’s churches. This include issues of the dress code, offering, tithes, body decorations, just to name a few. Often pastors, prophets and teachers of the Word never like being corrected on the wrong things they do and preach. Thus this post is only a kind reminder to the believers and the pastors alike that nobody should alter the message from the Word of God.
God Himself taught that man should not only live on bread but also on the all His Words. This was way before Jesus Christ came into the world for the purpose of saving His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). This is revealed in Deuteronomy 8:3 where the Bible says, “He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.” Jesus also confirmed this when He was tempted by the devil and reminded Him this truth in the book of Matthew 4:4.
In this post I just want to bring it to your attention that the message of the Cross, that is, the message of Jesus Christ is calling all that hear it to action. In this post I shall use the two interchangeably. I do not know your position with Christ but whatever the position, you are called to action. What have you done or what are you doing about it?
This one fact cannot be disputed. ‘Someone in hell has been there for more than a thousand years’. In fact, not one person but billions of them. I believe that hell exists because I believe that Jesus is real. Jesus was not a made up concept to manipulate people like many other people say, but He is God’s son. I’m even disappointed at those that have left the way of Christ and opted for atheism such as Hill and other religions.
Whatever Jesus said is true and He alone knows exactly what the afterlife entails. A person already in heaven or hell does not know as much about the place he dwells in more that Jesus does.
