Top sinful traps for mankind are the three; sexual immorality, the love for money and taking alcoholic drinks. This is not to say that other sinful practices are less of an abomination or do not matter to God but I assume that these three are common with many people.
In the book of Romans 7:15 – 25 the Bible confirms that often people that are trapped in sin do not like what they do yet they find themselves falling into the same sins. This reveals to us and confirms that we know when we are about to, have crossed and are over the line. To many, the outcome is regret and that is how is should be.
It is normal for a healthy person to feel sexual pressure and desire to fulfil that need. This is true for both males and females, married and not married, all races and ethnic groups. People are wired the same when it comes to sexuality. This makes sexuality a God given gift that comes naturally, which God expects all of us to handle with caution as we shall individually give an account about how we controlled it while in the earthly body.
Living life as it pleases to one is most desirable but there are rules and the law that all people must observe no matter their status. Rules above every rule that every person should work at observing are those put by God the creator. Failing to observe Gog’s commandments is sin and sin is voluntarily going against God’s will. Sin is defined as a practice that leads to death (Romans 6:23) and the Bible defines death not only as physical death but also damnation to eternal hell fire. This is the second death as defined by the book of Revelation 21:8; “The cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Before I loose many readers, at this point I need to move on to the next section. My point is on the increasing promiscous behavior of people engaging in sexual activities for financial gain in a very informal manner. In this case, this is between people of a huge age gab where one person abuses the other for selfish gain while not realising that they themselves are being abused. This is the ‘sugar mama’ and ‘sugar daddy’ sagga.
The Christian that still deceives himself or herself to believing that God will ignore or overlook, understand or reason with him or her, tolerate the sins they commit will get a shock of their lives when one of the two, death or the second return of Jesus Christ, happens. We are patiently awaiting the return of Christ yet we know that an earlier option is death, which should also be gain to the believer. We are called to holiness.
There are many secrete sins and worldly tolerable sins that some Christians do, some are done in the secrete and others in full view of others, but I will stick to what the reference scripture for today says;
