Jesus Christ had a lot of questions to answer to people while He lived in this world. He still is giving answers to people’s questions even today. I have written an article addressing the question on how God speaks to people today. You may read the article ‘How does God speak to people today? If you have a question, you can get a response directly from Him.
In the Gospel of Mark 12, Jesus is faced with Sadducees where He has to give answers about the resurrection. They wanted to know who among seven brothers would a woman whom they all had as a wife belong to after this life. They thought there is a marriage life after death but only to learn that this is not the case. Jesus’ answer unveils a lot of heavenly secretes that compels the Sadducees to stop asking. I will focus on Jesus’ declaration that God is not of the dead and term it Revelation 2, which is supported by that when we die we are given bodies similar to those of angels, which I categorize as Revelation 1 in the next section.
God is merciful to forgive us our sins (1 John 1:9) yet circumstances and our weaknesses in life present some pockets where as Christians we can be found unholy and unworthy of Heaven. Knowing the secrete truth about Heaven’s book of life, the time we sin the angels that work at erasing and re-writing names of believers in the book of life do their job so very well. The longer your name is erased (the time when you are in sin) from the book of life, the more the chances for you to be damned to hell.
Forever is a word that should not be taken lightly because it’s meaning has consequences that no man can change. Once it is written in the Bible as a warning, it should be taken seriously because it shall come to pass. I once asked a pastor as to why should it be difficult for people to understand this simple and straight forward message that there is life after death and that either one goes to Heaven or to Hell. The condition is one; if you have a relationship with Jesus Christ you go to heaven and if not, you are damned to hell forever. This pastor said, ‘the devil is a work to lengthen the time of stubbornness to those that get to hear the message of salvation’ and please do not be a victim of the devil (2 Corinthians 4:4).
The Bible reveals God as one who does not tolerate sin even by chance. We may acknowledge that He overlooked times of ignorance yet now He is calling everyone to repentance (Acts 17:30). He never compromises His commandments for anyone. He shows no favoritism as He is a just God. His Word never changes (Psalm 119:89).
Living life as it pleases to one is most desirable but there are rules and the law that all people must observe no matter their status. Rules above every rule that every person should work at observing are those put by God the creator. Failing to observe Gog’s commandments is sin and sin is voluntarily going against God’s will. Sin is defined as a practice that leads to death (Romans 6:23) and the Bible defines death not only as physical death but also damnation to eternal hell fire. This is the second death as defined by the book of Revelation 21:8; “The cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Before I loose many readers, at this point I need to move on to the next section. My point is on the increasing promiscous behavior of people engaging in sexual activities for financial gain in a very informal manner. In this case, this is between people of a huge age gab where one person abuses the other for selfish gain while not realising that they themselves are being abused. This is the ‘sugar mama’ and ‘sugar daddy’ sagga.
Have you ever given thought to the fact that it took God in Heaven to think and act on the loss it is for mankind to die and go to hell? Does it ring the bell on the seriousness and the magnitude of the loss to Him? What pain would warrant God to sent His only begotten Son to suffer the terrible death He did on the cross so that man is salvaged? Lets think together on this matter.
The message of the cross is simple and straight forward yet the devil has clouded it. The devil brings in unnecessary reasoning that resulted in many religions that are so confusing. People turned the precious gift of salvation into something they would understand but not what God has planned. God sent His son Jesus Christ to die at the cross to save mankind from sin (Matthew 1:21). Salvation is free and simple to earn. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). The old has passed and behold the new has come (1 Corinthians 5:17). The person that has received salvation will now not be condemned if he or she walks according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh (Roman 8:1, KJV).
I want to paint a picture of just one aspect of the condition in hell, ‘thirst’. First of all, we Christians believe that hell exists and the conditions of hell are unbearable and its incumbents must unfortunately endure it eternally. Worse of all is that it takes one little error to get to hell. A small lie, some hate, rage, anger, jealousy, etc. disqualifies one from heaven and sets that person’s destination to be hell.
Hell is described as a place of never-ending trauma, burning fire, and unquenchable thirst; a place where you are hopelessly lost and without human intervention forever (Bill Wiese, 2006). It is still important to mention that Bill says all this both from the experience he got from a vision but most importantly is that his testimony is supported by scripture.
Jesus Christ understands it; His Church, the Christians are in a deep plunge of hardship in that they are caught between two hard surfaces ‘Living under pressures of the last days and working at walking the narrow road’ that very few find and walk on it. He is ready and willing to support His chosen to overcome, but only if they trust Him and give Him the chance to guide and lead them.
On 16th February 2015, I was given an assignment by my pastor to give a short sermon in our Wednesday prayer service. I was led and guided to this subject and I got to learn a lot about the times we live in today. Jesus Christ taught us about these times and confirmed they will not be in any way easy days. In Matthew 24:25 Jesus says, ‘See, I have told you beforehand’ and 1 Thessalonians 5:2 Paul confirms that this will come just before the unknown day of the Lord comes. Continue reading →
Reverend, Pastor, Bishop, Deacon, Deaconess, Preacher and teacher of the Word of God and every believer should work at overcoming hypocrisy. It is true that while we live in this world we will be tempted and sadly we may fall into sin but that is not our destination.
It is sad that as Christians it tends to be easy to see the wrong in others, talk about it, blog about it just like I often do, gossip about it sometimes, yet indirectly or even I secretly we do the same thing (Luke 6:41). That is what the Bible calls ‘hypocrisy’.
The Bible teaches about hell and that people that dwell there are damned for eternity (Revelation 14:11). The condition of hell is unbearable yet once you are there, you have no way of escape. For as long as God lives, people that are in hell shall remain there. There is no forgiveness or redemption in hell. As I write this article, there are people in hell that have already spent thousands of years in hell and they now know that when God speaks everybody should do as He says.
The word salvation comes from the word save. Christians claim to be saved but really is such salvation guaranteed? Not at all, only the ones that endure to the end shall be saved (Matthew 24:23). Until then, nobody is saved yet it’s an acceptable claim to be saved because it is a process of working out one’s salvation.
Working out your salvation involves a lot of things but it can be summed up to keeping God’s commandments to the best of you capability. Solomon of old wrote that the entire duty of man is to fear God and keep His commands (Eccl. 12:13). The act of working out your salvation can be termed ‘living a holy life’, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
The infernal dungeon of hell is better outlined by the author; John Banyan. It is true that even though the resources of the gospel are plentiful online, some people never discover them. That is why I take part in spreading the teachings that were written by old time preachers even in this website. John Banyan is one of such preachers. John said a lot about hell and Heaven and in this post I quote one of his teachings on ‘The infernal dungeon of hell’, I pray you get the inspiration God desires for you as you read through John’s teaching.
My revelation on why we should be holy while living in this world point to the fact that being holy prepares one for heaven. Heaven in its nature is a holy place and those that want to dwell in it must therefore be holy.
Hell is real! You and I can only know about how it feels by reading the Word of God and from testimonies of those that have had revelations of Hell. In fact, those revelations confirm what the Holy Bible has already said. Bill Wease, one of the revelators confirm that everything he saw and felt on his tour to hell is already recorded in the Holy Bible. Doubting this fact would mean not believing the Holy Bible.
I believe the word of God when it says that in the last days, which I strongly believe is these days, old man shall dream and young men shall see vision. These visions are planned by God because he does not wish even for even a soul to go to Hell. Jesus would have died even for one soul not to go there.
Jesus Christ mentions hell many times in His words recorded in the Holy Bible. I’m today directed to the Word according to Matthew 5: 29 and 30, where Jesus values safety from hell to the point of forgoing some of your body parts.
It’s amazing how quick and easy it is for holiness advocates to see the speck of sawdust in their brothers’ eyes when they themselves have the same or worse in their eyes. I know this from myself. I battle each day with the tendency of seeing all other people worse of sinners than me. I tell you what I see them to be doing:
They rob the employers of paid for time, yet I often come late to work.
Unfaithful to their wives, yet I sometimes find myself watching a nudity or sex scene on TV and not tell my wife.
I see them practicing nepotism at work, yet I know I also don’t share the same love / affection for all colleagues.
I see them knock off early at work, yet I sometimes sneak out to talk to my wife during working hours.
I see them embezzle company funds, yet I sometime make personal calls from a company phone.
I see them worshiping other Gods, yet I often get to the doctor before even praying about a child’s sickness.
I see them owing others, yet I often fail on church offering.
I see them failing to respect subordinates, yet I never tolerate drunkards talking on my face
They gossip, yet I sit down and to the listen the gossip.
They are selfish, yet when I see a bagger I give him the least from my wallet coins or nothing at all.
They disobey the call to Christianity, yet I often go against the will of the Holy Spirit in my life.
