Pain is part of life yet it is undesirable by all means. Naturally, pain should be avoided even when it means losing some resources such as money and time. Everything else stops to give way to means of managing or eliminating pain where possible.
Pain must be controlled because if it is not, it can have serious consequences to its victims. The good thing is that the Bible records instances of pain experienced by some of Bible icons such as Job and David. Through their experiences, we learn how God helped them deal with their pain, which helps us understand how we also can deal with our pain.
All the living know that they will die but not with certainty on when it will happen. This is reality that awaits every living person without anyone’s influence. Not one person, even a doctor can stop a person from dying. Death is not a choice but a given and it comes at will to anyone. I’m sure that everyone that can read this knows and appreciates this fact. Any other differing message is from the devil who is a liar that many people are not aware of.
I once learnt of a group of people in Africa who have been deceived to believe that their religious practices, which is driven by evil powers, can bring a person back to life when they die. The devil had made it possible for them to see people come back to life when they had died. This lie could be going on and deceiving many to ignore the reality of death. I write to sensitize you on the fact that death is a as close as blinking an eye to you as the case is with every other living person.
Mduduzi Edmund Tshabalala also known as Mandoza lost his life to a short illness according to Eyewitness News. This young man was a Kwaito music icon that had a lot of followers in South Africa and beyond. It is sad indeed that the world has lost such a talented young man.
The truth is that it is finished with Mandoza in this world, that is, he has no affairs with the living anymore yet it is not the case in the after life. His soul has not vanished but has gone to a place where he shall await God’s judgement. There are only two specific areas of waiting; hides (hell) and paradise. I prefer to use the word hell because it is easier to understand yet this place is not yet the ultimate hell God has set for the devil and his followers. Paradise is equally the same, it is a place as good as Heaven yet not the ultimate also.
Does it count how we safeguard our lives, practice healthy living and other cautious measures to be safe from death or it solely depends on the number of days God has set for each one of us? Does God need a thug, an accident or anything unnatural to fulfill His word of having numbered the days of the living? I will give the answer later in this post.
I will unpack some verses and add some thoughts I collected when discussing the demise of a husband to one of our church mothers that was killed by a thug in about five years ago. The question this woman had was as already highlighted in the opening paragraph.
