Love the Rapist but Hate Rape
The subject of loving the rapist but not the act of rape is actually the variation of the common phrase, ‘love the sinner, hate the sin’. Rape is just an example of the worst sin that man could think of. Some soft sins that are widely accepted include homosexuality and compromising on the truth. According to the American Psychological Association and others, homosexuality is recognised as a way of being and a part of who we are that’s not subject to change. Many claim that it is how we are born, and there’s no way to change it. We can change ourselves to fit into society better, and society can change to be more accommodating, but that’s it, there is no getting rid of homosexuality. This is false belief, the truth is that it may be challenging to get rid of homosexuality but it can be done away with (a subject to be addressed separately).
The meaning of a testimony According Luke 16: 19-31
The parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus gives an interesting dimension of what a testimony should aim to achieve. Luke 16: 28, ‘for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment’. The message goes out to those in the land of the living because they still have a chance to escape the dreadful conditions of hell.
Tithes and Offering for Businesses
Tithes are a tenth of a person’s earnings that should be given to God in church while offerings are free will giving. Tithes and offerings are an obligation for individuals and that is not questionable. Why? Because the Holy Bible says so. The question then becomes, should businesses do the same?
Know that Miracles May Not Always be coming from God – Exodus 7: 11 and 22
The world has to know that not all miracles come from God the almighty but some come from the devil through magicians, witches, sorcerers and other works of false religions. That miracles even come from elsewhere should not make you doubt your God or even harden your heart, thinking that He is not mightier than what is ordinary like Pharaoh of old did.
Help Yourself into Spiritual Growth – 2 Peter 3:18
Spiritual growth is applicable to believers. Growth entails knowing the Lord Jesus Christ progressively better. This process starts after accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your saviour. Growth is a characteristic of life; all living things grow.
Do Not Do it at Work Please
So many things can be done at work yet not permissible. If you intend keeping yourself pure as defined by God’s standards, you must guard yourself not to be counted amongst those that do the unlawful.
While you wait for the convenient Time to Start Evangelising
While we wait for the time to start doing the things God has called us to do in the world, so much damage goes on to mankind. God has called each and every one of us, particularly those that have seen the light of Christ, to several assignments. A few of these are witnessing about the power of God manifested in Jesus Christ, calling people to salvation through Jesus Christ, offering and works of charity, preaching, etc. Jesus wants all people to be safe from God’s wrath for those that are disobedient to His will.
