Just when I sat down to write this article, I thought of a title that would be SEO tasty but couldn’t come up with one that would still maintain the weight of what I want to discuss and still be SEO friendly. I settled for this one knowing it might not be an SEO friendly one but I do believe that anyone that finds this article will know that I wrote for a person not the internet.
I believe it is appropriate for me to mention that we live in a world full of the devil’s schemes yet he wants people not to realize it. The devil glories in anonymity. Many people would think what they end up doing comes from their own reasoning yet it is largely influenced by the devil’s schemes. The devil is not in games but working hard and seriously because he knows that his time is very limited (Revelation 12:12). This reality is hidden in the deep things of Satan that the Bible talks about in Revelation 2:24. This world is terrible. Unless you make every effort to stay close to God at all times, you run the risk of mission Heaven.
The Holy Trinity is one major doctrine of Christianity. It is true that word ‘trinity’ is not recorded anywhere in the Bible yet there are many portions in that detail or unveil this belief to be valid. I have watched many Youtube videos on how some Christians define the trinity including Nabeel Qureshi and many others.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached all over yet there are so many doctrines that are contradicting each other. Often this is not intentional but results from misinterpreting what the Bible teaches. It is common to hear Christians discussing one topic but coming out with different ways of practicing it. The easier route out is often largely adopted and it normally is the one that prevails. The harder route is abandoned yet Jesus Christ Himself clearly stated that the gate that leads to life is very narrow. The sad this is that He went on to say that ‘many will try to find it but very few find it’.
Every believer should be clear on what the Bible teaches. It calls for critical Bible study, research and praying. Each verse of the Bible has been inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16). This means that for every Bible verses is God owned. Thus He won’t let any return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). I know that this may give some readers the impression that I am brain washed to believe in the Bible in this fashion. I have written a full article on why we believe that the Bible is God’s word. Women are no less of people than man according to the Bible but God has commandments for each. In our time, it is easy for some people to believe that the Bible was written by people to oppress women. I received this response when I passed a comment on a youtube video by Yabantu.tv where I reminded the author that woman should be modest in their dress code. The image on the side is a screen capture of the response from the author of the video.
Yabantu is largely characterized by half necked women that justify their outfit by culture. The mostly exposed parts of their body are breasts. A modestly dressed woman should not expose her breasts at any rate except in privacy, whenever there is a compelling need or to her husband but never in public. An example of a compelling need is a medical checkup or something related. Now that we have been enlightened on what God wants from us, we should comply even when it means banishing some of our cultural practices.
Pain is part of life yet it is undesirable by all means. Naturally, pain should be avoided even when it means losing some resources such as money and time. Everything else stops to give way to means of managing or eliminating pain where possible.
Pain must be controlled because if it is not, it can have serious consequences to its victims. The good thing is that the Bible records instances of pain experienced by some of Bible icons such as Job and David. Through their experiences, we learn how God helped them deal with their pain, which helps us understand how we also can deal with our pain.
The Bible has long been declared to be the infallible word of God by those that have gone before us and we have adopted that as a true declaration. I have been sensitized to write this post after having watched a video on YouTube where someone is giving his reasons why he quit Christianity. Many people that responded to his video agree to his views that the Bible is not the word of God. I felt compelled to respond and I do want to share my position on this matter again in this post.
I believe that wearing make-up and any artificial attachments life finger nails, weave and lipstick is not acceptable to God as I have already written two articles on this subject already. The articles are the following:
It is normal for a healthy person to feel sexual pressure and desire to fulfil that need. This is true for both males and females, married and not married, all races and ethnic groups. People are wired the same when it comes to sexuality. This makes sexuality a God given gift that comes naturally, which God expects all of us to handle with caution as we shall individually give an account about how we controlled it while in the earthly body.
Holiness is one Christian quality that is not a once of or momentary requirement but a lifestyle. One may be holy at one moment but not the next, simply because it must be maintained. Sadly, there is no moment a Christian ought not to be holy. Should a Christian die when he or she is unholy at that particular moment, that believer will miss Heaven – none negotiable. It sounds harsh but true and many so called believers have lost their eternity in Heaven to compromising on holiness standards.
If holiness is such a requirement, what then does the Bible say about its benefits? I want to quote Revelation 3:5, a verse that points at holiness as an ultimatum.
Never should pastors take a position of altering that which God says in the Bible, even the slightest of such alterations. The temptation is often to adjust biblical context to our contemporary world. This is very wrong as the Bible says it clearly that God’s Word never changes. I have written an article to address the subject of the none changing Word of God in this blog ‘The Word of God that never changes – Psalms 119:89, Matthew 24:35’
So many things have been altered in today’s churches. This include issues of the dress code, offering, tithes, body decorations, just to name a few. Often pastors, prophets and teachers of the Word never like being corrected on the wrong things they do and preach. Thus this post is only a kind reminder to the believers and the pastors alike that nobody should alter the message from the Word of God.
I was inspired to write this article after having been requested to write a short story on the love of God for children. I realized that life is often assumed to be normal when the good things happen yet all the good come from God alone whilst the bad, even the slightest of it, comes from the devil.
Out of countless reasons to give for the justification of God’s love, I have picked just two: Continue reading →
Binary options is a money making option that I recently came to know about when I searched the internet for ways by which I can invest the money I earn from doing business on fiverr.com. It is a very easy to enter trading space yet so much of a risk that one can lose all they have on it yet it is 100 percent legal in many countries such that no one would put you in jail for it. The world standard is not compromised whenever a person participates or trades binary options but then the question is, ‘does the same apply for Christians?’
The Christians adds another consideration when deciding on money making methods, ‘will it not defile the holiness / righteousness garment’. This means that praying about it, reading scriptures for guidance and listening to the conscious with high sensitivity should be applied. If you are not sure, you are better not participating. Sadly, the tendency is for Christians to reason about things and ignore the fact that Christianity is not about reasoning but goes according to what the Bible says.
Mduduzi Edmund Tshabalala also known as Mandoza lost his life to a short illness according to Eyewitness News. This young man was a Kwaito music icon that had a lot of followers in South Africa and beyond. It is sad indeed that the world has lost such a talented young man.
The truth is that it is finished with Mandoza in this world, that is, he has no affairs with the living anymore yet it is not the case in the after life. His soul has not vanished but has gone to a place where he shall await God’s judgement. There are only two specific areas of waiting; hides (hell) and paradise. I prefer to use the word hell because it is easier to understand yet this place is not yet the ultimate hell God has set for the devil and his followers. Paradise is equally the same, it is a place as good as Heaven yet not the ultimate also.
Corporal punishment may not be heard of in many parts of the world because it is banned and practicing it is often punishable by law. It defined as physical punishment (physical discipline) intended to cause physical pain on a person. It is usually inflicted in settings with a substantial disparity of power between partakers. It is normally practiced in homes, schools, churches and in various social groups.
Given the definitions above, corporal punishment covers a number of other physical punishments that the Bible clearly does not suggest but specifically mentioned ‘the rod’ as a means for use with children. The world has classed the ‘the rod’ under corporal punishment. Verses that talk about ‘the rod’ include the following:
It takes the Bible to define what human life is in an accurate way. The world has lots of definitions that wind up confusing but the Bible definition does not. It may not make sense to some people but the truth remains unchanging, whether people believe it or not. It is the Bible that tells us that humans have eternal souls and their time spent is this world is as short like vapor or smoke (James 4:14).
Job defines life as breath (Job 7:7). Breath has a unique quality of being present. When you breathe in, out or even hold your breath; you do it now. It’s not in the past or in the future but now. It means that once you stop breathing, you are no longer alive. This makes man very temporary in this world. Isaiah 2:22 puts an emphasis on the fact that man should not be regarded since his life is in his breath. Once breathing stops, man’s time in this world is over.
