Mbabane alliance old sermon played on Swazi TV – Siyakudumisa

Rev J. V. Mazibuko

Today on the populous long time playing television Christian program ‘Siyakudumisa’ a sermon that was recorded at Mbabane Alliance Church, which I estimate was recorded more than 5 years ago, was played. To support my claim, the structure which the sermon was recorded on does not exist anymore. It was demolished and a new one was built in its place.

Faith has power to unlock the desired future, but don’t pay for it!

Faith...Faith is biblical and therefore does not change with times. It is a freely God given virtue that is open for use by any living person. Receive it from God at no cost.

Before I define what faith is, I want to start by confirming that faith is real and it works exactly as the bible says. Those that practice faith are pleasing to God (Hebrews 11:6) and they reap the benefits of practicing it. I personally have found faith to be working for me and to my experience; it requires one to make an effort. That is why the Bible says that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). The Bible gives us examples of people that combined faith with their effort to realise what they hoped for. Hebrews 11:17 – 31 give details on what Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, the children of Israel and Rahab did by faith to achieve their intended goals.

Be warned as not all Church Pastors, Prophets and Bishops are called by God – Jude 4

LandscapePreaching the gospel to the lost is a call from Jesus for every believer. However, not all believers are called to be Pastors, Prophets and Bishops. These positions are today characterized by wealthy living, fleshy lifestyle, overrated authority and scarcity to the sheep. These qualities make the positions very attractive as a profession and not as a calling, which disrupts the whole plan God has for these positions.

Many have appointed themselves into such positions, leading many astray and to eternal damnation. Some false Pastors, Prophets and Bishops have graduated to multiply themselves by appointing others. Some inherit the calling from their parents but not from God’s hand. Whenever you identify such people, run for your life.

Would Jesus be in the VIP sits or on the commoners?

VIPs in churchSitting in the VIP section that often costs more, I sometimes wonder how Jesus feels about segregating those that can afford to pay for a VIP ticket and those that cannot, in a service that is dedicated to Him. This is common practice for services, festivals, concerts, meeting, presentation, sermons, etc. Surely, the norm is to open in a word of prayer and invite God’s presence. One would argue that this is a strategy to make a neat and fair sitting arrangement yet I can almost accurately guess that the aim is to make more money for the organizers.

If Jesus would come in person to our events today, physically appearing in the congregation, where would He sit? What would He say to the organizers of the event about separating people according to affording capacities? I would add by asking how does this differ from racism, apartheid an xenophobia? Then I would quote Romans 2:11, ‘For God does not show favoritism’ and move on to Galatians 3:28 – ‘There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus’. Therefore, the father of favoritism is not God but the devil. All forms of it are an abomination to God. Continue reading

5 Things not to do During a Prayer Service in Chruch

Fear the Lord and keep His commandments.

Fear the Lord and keep His commandments.

Prayer is the practice of talking to God whether in thought or audible. This post is on the audible conversation made with God inside the house of God by a group of people. God is to be greatly honored in His house. You may make gestures in prayer but all that you do must be within the expression to God and nobody else while you pray. Any other move that is not focusing on honoring God is not right.
