Don’t ever say you do not believe in the Bible

The consequences of the words we speak often go beyond what we can imagine sometimes. I wish to remind everyone who happens to read this article and later on I will explain why I say, ‘Never ever declare with your mouth that you do not believe the Bible‘. Don’t do it and don’t even think about it.

The reason for reading the Bible is to get some teachings on what is right and correction from the wrong (2 Timothy 3:16). If for any reason you are confused about what the Bible says, take your time to ask others that are enlightened on the subject you struggle to understand. You could also do an independent research on the subject of interest. There are people that have prayed more than you have, read the Bible more than you have, discussed matters of the Bible more than you have and such are the people that can help you out in your misunderstanding. Some have even shared their experiences freely online. If you doubt what they say, take the trouble to pray, read the Bible and discuss scriptures until you get answers to your questions. Trust me, if you search relentlessly, you will get your answer(s). Just as an example of those that have at least troubled themselves to search for answers, try searching the internet for Muslims that have found Christianity to be true beyond Islam. I know of Nabeel Qureshi and Ramin Parsa. Nabeel wrote a book of his search for the truth entitled ‘Seeking Allah, finding Jesus‘.

Believing what the Bible says

Coming to the subject of not believing what the Bible says, I would like to quote some words from Jesus as recorded in Matthew 12:36. I quote, “But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken” NIV. This is true just as Jesus said it. The sad reality is that people that do not believe shall be put to hell just as it is recorded in Revelation 21:8.

Just this one verse informs you before hand that if you chose not to believe, you have sent yourself into hell. Whether you like it or not, your portion is a lake of fire which many discover when they cannot do anything about it.

I exhort you once again, ‘Don’t ever say to any person or even in your heart that you do not believe what the Bible says’. God will judge even our thoughts and therefore don’t think that because you have not said it you are safe. An example of a common occurrence of sins of the mind is that of a man who looks at a woman with lust, without even talking to her or anyone (Matthew 5:27 – 28).

A friendly advise

It is important to get to the bottom of everything that confuses you because what you do in this life determine where you will spend your eternity. Every person has a beginning, which is the time of birth, but no ending. Death is only a shift from a mortal life to an immortal one that never ends. No one has the power to change this reality. It doesn’t matter who you are, how much power you have and how much wealth you posses.

God’s judgement is right

I have preached to others in speech, video and in writing but if I have just one portion in scripture which I do not believe in I can be rejected in judgement. There is no mercy in judgement. That is why each time I remember about my sinful nature, I plead God’s mercy upon my life. Paul once said that he subjects his own body so that after he has preached to others, he himself should not be disqualified (1 Corinthians 9:27). It is not about us being comfortable in life but it is about being obedient to the Lord’s call.

I don’t wish to sound irrational but again as I have already mentioned, it is not about how I would like to say it but it is about what the Bible says.

Be blessed.
