Celebrities, their dress code and God – Christian’s reaction

The dress code for most celebrities and those that aspire to be is largely indecent according to Godly modesty standards. Indeed the Christian body has some people that qualify to be called celebrities and they too often compromise on the Godly standard on modesty in dressing. When God gave the Holy Bible to the living, He wanted His word to be known at no complicated way to everyone. All you do when you want to hear from God is read the Holy Bible. Even those that don’t care about God or His word shall account on how they lived in accordance to what the Holy Bible expected from humans (2 Corinthians 5:10).

I implore you not be found to be consciously on the wrong side of God’s law at any time in your life. This will save you the anger God has set for all that disobey Him (Colossians 3:6).

The body and the Holy Bible

I write this article to remind the world that God will not relax His standard for anyone. Sin is committed through the body and therefore the Holy Bible is not silent about how we should live our lives in our bodies. Next I will give a few verses that talk about the dress code and the body.

  1. Deuteronomy 22:5 – A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God. The act of wearing clothes for the opposite sex is largely practiced by homosexuals yet even those that are heterosexual. If you want to know whether the wearing of trousers by woman is right or wrong in the sight of God, study the messages from testimonies of Heaven and Hell by many messengers from God of our time. Simply Google them and you will discover what God is saying about this very controversial subject today.

  1. 1 Corinthians 6:19 – 20 – Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. This body is talking to those that confess to be having a relationship with Jesus Christ. The price completely paid for the ownership of the bodies we live in and therefore the owner dictates how His property should be taken care of.

  1. 1 Timothy 2:9 – Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire,… Respectable apparel is simply anything that does not provoke others to sexually lust after them and desire evil after looking at the person in that apparel. Clothes that fall into the sexually provocative category are so many, and they include trousers in woman, muscle tops for men, short skirts and slit skirts. Please take into account the fact that what is written or printed on your apparel can influence others to commit some sins, particularly sins of the mind. It is sin for you to lead someone into sin (Mark 9:42).

  1. 1 Peter 3:3 -4 – Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. If it were my words, I would have omitted the gold jewelry but then its God speaking through Paul. Pray about the wedding ring you put in your finger.

Do not copy celebrities’ dress code or of anyone for whatever reason, but do what God expects from you. Do not be wise in your own understanding but stop doing what is wrong (Proverbs 3:7). These verses give reasons why you should not dress anyhow. Even if it was just one phrase, you would be expected to comply.

Be blessed.
